Head of Strategic BCP

Terence (Terry) Lee leads the Strategic BCP division and is responsible for all aspects of the organization’s product strategy, customer success, sales and marketing efforts. He works closely with clients, prospects, partners, and our internal teams to bring new and enhanced software solutions to market. Terry is a CBCP and a member of BCI, DRI, PRMIA, IIA, and other communities dedicated to BCP, Vendor Risk Management, Operational Risk Management, Enterprise Architecture, and Disaster Recovery.

He possesses over 25 years of expertise in Third-Party Management, Vendor Risk and Contingency Management, IT and Operational Risk, Compliance, Policy, and Audit Management; Threat and Vulnerability Management; Business Continuity Planning and Management; and Regulatory Change Management.

Terry has fulfilled many client- and market-facing roles. As a product, account and sales executive; he has demonstrated a progressive record of accomplishment identifying and defining new products, capturing new business, leading and building teams, developing software markets, increasing revenues, and executing growth strategies. His experience includes training, mentoring, and supporting teams—with a focus on strategy, product management, and account management.

Before joining Strategic BCP, Terry served as Regional Vice President of GRC Solutions for MetricStream. There, he was responsible for managing both an enterprise sales team and a personal portfolio of client accounts in financial services, manufacturing, retail, banking, and other industries. In this role, he was the executive sponsor for the company’s BCM product and a member of the vendor risk management and third-party management product advisor teams. In addition, he managed a multi-million-dollar pipeline of opportunities in GRC and quality management solutions in North America, with a focus on BCM, IT GRC, Operational Risk, and vendor risk/third party management. Previously Terry held senior roles with TCMPi, Modulo Security, MEGA International, and Automation Technologies.

Frank Perlmutter (CBCP, MBCI) has played a dynamic role in business continuity for over 20 years. As Founder of Strategic BCP, he is the architect of ResilienceONE business continuity planning and risk management software, a “Leader” in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Business Continuity Management Planning Software every year.

As a consultant, Frank raises awareness with training, exercises, and whitepapers that reach thousands of business continuity professionals. His insights also drove a Fortune article on approaches to business continuity and risk management.

Throughout his career, Frank’s hands-on experience includes roles as Manager of Disaster Recovery/Continuity of Operations Planning for the U.S. Department of the Treasury and as a Senior Information Technology Consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP and Ernst & Young.

As a nationally recognized and sought-after speaker on BCP, Frank has long been an advocate for raising the profile and relevance of BC professionals. Among his scores of professionally delivered Webinars, his “Be a Better Planner” series stands out for its insight and practical examples on how BC professionals can upgrade their efficiency and relevance within an organization—regardless of the BCP software or methodology they use. He graduated Magna cum Laude with his BS in Business Administration from American University in Washington, DC.

Christopher Duffy, CBCP, CISSP

Vice President of Professional Services

Christopher Duffy leads Strategic BCP’s professional services division, which provides new ways for customers to mitigate risk, build agile, resilient plans, while ensuring compliance with industry guidelines and federal regulations.

He is an industry award winning consultant and a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) who possesses over 25 years’ experience in IT management, disaster recovery, business impact analysis, and risk mitigation.

Christopher also possesses extensive experience in vendor management, data center management, and acquisition integration. He is a frequent blogger, speaker, and author. He has received multiple awards in leadership and innovative IT.

Before joining Strategic BCP, he served as a senior consultant with the City of Philadelphia. While he was there, he correlated incident responses to Service Provider contract performance metrics. He has also served as a lead Business Continuity Consultant for Florida’s Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare, led a billion-dollar RFP project for the New Jersey State Motor Vehicle Commission, and worked with the South Carolina Department of Education in building a Business Continuity practice. Prior to these roles, Christopher served as CIO for Peirce College in Philadelphia, where he also graduated Summa cum Laude with his BS in Business Administration.
